It has been less that a year since Ashley smashed 5 vertebrae (in a fall off another horse) and not only has she made a miraculous recovery but there are very few horses I would trust her to get back on to and Miller (on the left in photo) is number one. What a boy.

I've been at High Quarter Farm Livery at Avonmill for 18 years now. I arrived with my 8 week old baby girl, my first pony and my shetland. Many years ago Jo helped me to find my beautiful Welsh Cob mare Lockeridge Georgina through her connections. I've had an awful 18 months, during which Jo and her lovely family have given me enormous support. My mum died, my dad was ill, I became ill myself, then I lost Georgina to colic on the 25th March this year. My daughter and I were devastated. I was almost determined I would never have another horse again. Then Jo put an advert on her Facebook a few weeks ago, and through her connections I again found a wonderful horse. Welcome to the McKinney family Missie, my 14.3hh black traditional cob mare, who is healing my heart again. Lauren and I are so looking forward to getting to know her, and to beach rides, forest rides, shows and who knows what else?? I strongly recommend using Avonmill Equestrian for livery, schooling and buying/selling. Thanks Jo and family, and the never forgetting Jane.

Thank you again to you Joanne and Jane for the quickest sale I've ever known of my beloved boy Roscoe. I regretfully had to make the heartbreaking decision to sell my boy as I am due a baby any day, and I knew the only place I wanted him to go to to be sold was Avonmill. I was kept updated with how he was, interest and viewings arranged. Fortunately he was sold to the first viewers and only 5 days later is off to his new fantastic home which I am more than happy about, completely hassle free and making its a lot easier for me.
I wouldn't hesitate in sending any of my horses to Avonmill for schooling/sales/holiday livery, and when I am looking for a new horse they will be the first place I contact.
Fantastic service from a lovely yard.

Having seen many of the horses that Avonmill have had advertised over the years I was keen to visit when I decided to buy a new horse. At the time, they had a couple of potentially suitable horses in and Joanne was very good about taking time beforehand to describe them both and then having me down to try them out. As it happened I only tried one as I loved him so much! Tayto was extremely chilled out during the trial where I got to ride him in the school and on the roads and Joanne and Jane were both great and put no pressure on as a seller. Having decided to take him he arrived home within the week and soon settled into life up north. For a young horse he has been very well behaved, has been fine on his own or in company and as we don’t have a school at home yet, has had to get on with being hacked out alone and trailering to schools. He has a really lovely nature and is already part of the family. Really looking forward to the future with him and getting going properly. I would happily recommend Avonmill to anyone looking for a new horse.

My horse had been started by Jo and Jane last summer and was going well when she returned to me and after I worked her for a while was then turned away for a few months.
I took her back to Avonmill a couple of weeks ago as I knew she would be brought back to work seamlessly and with professionalism and I was right.
Mica settled in right away and Jane, yet again, worked her magic on her.
She was only at the yard for a couple of weeks and I can now carry on from where Jane left off.
I cant thank both Jo and Jane enough for the hard work they put into Mica again.

Thank you Avonmill for being ace! Such a difficult decision to sell my lovely mare after 4 years of owning her and when I spoke to Joanne she was so understanding and listened to everything I said about what was best for the horse. There was no pressure at all and once I made my decision, the Avonmill team made it easy for me, treating my horse like one of their own and giving me updates on a daily basis. They found Katie a lovely new home within a couple of weeks and taking her out to gain some excellent results in that time. The sales process was smooth and easy and everything was handled for me meaning I didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't thank them enough or recommend them more highly for their professionalism! Thank you from Jude and Katie xxx

Katie is all that you said she was. She is adorable and we are smitten with her. She has settled quickly and is very spoilt and happy. We are beginning to get out and about with her and so far she has never failed to please us.
